For those who work with, or are exposed to, hazardous materials. Understand the basic requirements of COSHH, including avoiding the use of substances hazardous to health. Learn how to apply a corporate procedure for risk assessment with reference to COSHH.
Fire Safety
Course objectives
At the end of the session delegates should be able to understand the basic requirements of relevant Health & Safety Law, in respect of workplace fire arrangements. Be able to identify the elements of the Fire Triangle, and their relevance in respect of fire prevention and control.
Be able to identify the classes of fire, and choose the appropriate portable fire extinguisher for use on each classification. Understand the basic requirements in regard to fire detection, defence and evacuation.

Introduction to Health and Safety
