Simply stated, a pivot table is an interactive table that quickly combines and compares large amounts of data from a given spreadsheet. It can be a real time saver for getting answers back from the spreadsheet. Pre-requisites

There is an expectation that all adults working in school receive e-safety training (reference 360 degree safe mark). Everyone from the Head,teaching staff,teaching assistants,invigilators,librarians,catering staff,technicians,governers,office staff,caretakers,cleaning staff etc all need to have e-safety awareness. The difficulty is getting everyone together to deliver training,so we have produced and collated a number of useful resources and training options to help you address this issue. These options will be shared with you and methods of delivery demonstrated/modelled to you with a package of resources which will be made available for you to take back to school or use online.

Course Outline:

Cover 7 in SIMS allows you to manage the arrangements required for teacher absences,room closures and exam invigilation. This includes the use of cover supervisors,supply teachers and agencies. The course takes you through setting up cover routines,suspending the timetable,registering absences and providing cover. The module links fully with the other aspects of SIMS.net. This includes personnel absence records and records of the external agencies used for cover as required for the school workforce census.

SIMS:Options
Course Outline:
Options is an easy to use and very effective module. Once students' option choices have been entered the software will automatically produce the required number of classes and allocate students to them, though this can be edited manually. When choices have been allocated, it produces various useful lists for students, parents and staff, and student class allocations can be transferred electronically to SIMS.net.

Video conferencing is the process of using a camers and microphone to send images and sound across a network in real time. It enables tow or more people to communicate and collaborate:to share lessons:discuss ideas and hear foreign languages from native speakers in their own home countries. This course will enable delagates to set up sites for their own school and learn the key skills to administrate and manage the school access to Adobe Connect. Users will also take part in an online conference during the day and a live follow up session a week later.
